Learning.com Passports
Traditional sign-on methods can be tricky for some students. Whether students are just learning how to navigate the keyboard, only beginning to spell, or take a little longer to press the correct keys—logging in can take up a considerable amount of class time.
Passports simplify the login process by allowing students to scan their Passport code in front of their webcam, eliminating the need to type in a username, password, and district name—giving you more time to get students engaged and excited about learning!
What are Passports?
The Passport is a printed document that contains an individualized quick response (QR) code that each student scans in front of the computer’s webcam to log in to Learning.com—no typing necessary!
How do students log in with Passports?
Step 1. Students navigate to login.learning.com and select the green ‘Passport Log In’ button.
Step 2. Students are prompted to hold their Passport up to their computer’s webcam.
Step 3. Using the webcam camera, students align their unique Passport code to fit the visual on their screen and sign in to their accounts. Let the learning commence!
Where do I print Passports for my class?
Navigate to your Learning.com class gradebook and select the ‘Print Passports’ button. This will open Passports for each student enrolled in your class in a new browser tab that you can print.
Tip: Save a PDF of your class Passports to your computer so that you can print them as many times as necessary without accidentally resetting students’ Passport codes.
Can I print a Passport for an individual student?
Yes! Select the student’s name from your class gradebook and press the ‘Print Passport’ button.
Remember! Reprinting a student’s passport means that any passport that was previously used by that student will no longer work. A new Passport code is created each time you reopen Passports from your gradebook.
How do I reset and manage Passports?
To reset a Passport, all you have to do is select the ‘Print Passports’ button from within your Learning.com gradebook. Passport codes will automatically reset each time it’s reopened from the gradebook and can be reset for an individual student or entire class.
Can I reprint Passports?
You can reprint Passports as many times as necessary but remember that each time you reopen a student’s or class’s Passport file from your gradebook, the Passport code resets and any previously printed Passport codes cannot be used.
Tip: Save your class Passports as a PDF on your computer so you can reprint the file as often as necessary without generating a new Passport code.
If a student is in several Learning.com classes with different teachers, creating a new Passport code through your gradebook may cause confusion when the student goes to his or her next class. When in doubt, help your student log in with a unique username and password.
What do I do if a Passport doesn’t scan?

Tip: Remember that a student’s username and password will work, even if there is an issue with the Passport code or the webcam.
Can teachers use Passports to log in?
No. Only students can use Passports to log in at this time.
