Learning.com curriculum exceeds E-rate requirements and covers required Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) topics on:
a.1 Appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms
a.2 Cyberbullying awareness and response
To satisfy CIPA requirements, teachers must provide instruction for students covering the two topics above. Many curriculum items cover both topics, but some only address one and teachers will need to select an additional item about the other topic for full coverage. It is up to each district what, how, and when they implement the CIPA topics.
