December 4, 2014

Release 109

Software Enhancements:

  • Teachers can now click on a standard and copy + paste the text into a different program (like Word or Text Edit)
  • All  tabs along the top of the Teacher UI now have a visual indicator (blue line at the bottom of the tab) so that teachers know which tab page they are viewing
  • Users can renew an expiring order in the Teacher UI by choosing from the valid purchase options still available
  • In the Coordinator UI, the Find/Manage Users column header "Student ID" has been changed to "District User ID" to better explain that searches return student ID numbers for students and SchoolDistrictUserID numbers for SIS-synced teachers

Bug Fixes:

  • Customized unit icons are visible when viewing unit in the Library
  • iPad users can scroll to view and turn in journals
  • Various under-the-hood performance enhancements and minor fixes for SIS Autosync Integration

Release 108

Software Enhancements:

  • Login cards for a class with non-student accounts (like Teachers) are printable from the gradebook and contain only district and username

Bug Fixes:

  • Untracked classes can be set to "Open" and "Forced" assignment sequence
  • User Import Tool (UIT) can successfully handle characters with accent marks 
  • Sorting in the Curriculum Item list works in ascending and descending directions and in the Favorites list, items can be sorted by Rating

Release 107

Software Enhancements:

  • All Inquiry pretests in all grades and all EasyTech for Next Generation Assessments pretests have audio support
  • Inquiry curriculum items and EasyTech quizzes and games are now available in the Learning.com tablet app
  • While a student is working on a journal assignment, the journal will automatically save student work every 5 minutes

Bug Fixes:

  • A teacher is able to set the Assignment Sequence setting (Forced or Open) for a group or individual student to a setting that is different than the class setting

Release 106

Software Enhancements:

  • “Export Gradebook” report shows the percentage score and the number of points scored
  • The date of the external score is visible in the external score tooltip (To see external scores, check the box above the gradebook that says "Include grades from all classes”)
  • A self-directed Professional Development course for educators is now available in Inquiry

Software Enhancements:

  • When grading, teachers can navigate between journals by clicking “Grade This!” in the gradebook and clicking the blue arrows

Bug Fixes:

  • The UIT can now edit educator roles
  • Prescriptive Keyboarding is displaying correct accuracy scores

Software Enhancements:

  • The best and highest grade from the same items assigned and completed in other classes can be viewed in the gradebook
  • Teachers can renew Marketplace orders from the license expiration notice
  • New Marketplace orders can be set to automatically renew when they expire

Bug Fixes:

  • Inquiry commenting feature can be turned off in the Class Settings tab

Software Enhancements:

  • Two new reports for Coordinators, under Curriculum Tools:
    • Prescriptive Keyboarding Raw Data Report
    • E-Rate Online Safety Objectives Report
  • User Import Tool can be used to update existing class enrollments and now class enrollment imports only affect the classes listed in the CSV file

Bug Fixes:

  • Inquiry Math Projects for Grade 4 and Grade 8 now allow decimals in text fields

Software Enhancements:

  • User Import Tool can be used to update existing teacher account information, including passwords
  • Added software architecture to support technology assessments in the Learning.com Tablet App
  • For Coordinators with SIS integration, data warnings page is available under User Account Tools

Bug Fixes:

  • Sorting, searching, and selecting are more consistent when enrolling students into classes
  • Journal items no longer show HTML code in the grading interface

  • New login box with autocomplete feature in district field
  • Two new reports for coordinators, under License/Product Tools – District Activity Report and School Activity Report
  • Inquiry Pretests now show all recommended lessons even after student completes the lessons

  • Apostrophes in class names do not interfere with Prescriptive Keyboarding or Typing Pal
